《中文菜单英文译法》北京市人民政府外事办公室 北 京 市 商 务 局 二〇〇七年十二月

前言2008 年北京奥运会不仅是世界性的体育盛会, 也是向世 界展示中国文化和首都形象的重要契机。

餐饮服务在奥运会 的整体运行中占有重要位置,北京作为中国的首都,荟萃了 中华几千年的饮食精华, 保证餐饮服务质量, 满足服务需求, 是实现“有特色、高水平”北京奥运会、残奥会目标的基础 之一。

菜单作为餐饮行业展示对外形象和中华饮食文化的窗 口,是服务人员与顾客交流沟通的桥梁,规范中文菜单英文 译法具有十分重要的意义。

为此, 北京市相关部门编制了 《中 文菜单英文译法》一书。

《中文菜单英文译法》不仅是餐饮行业语言交流的工 具,也是传播中华饮食文化让世界了解中国的载体,是加深 中外人民友谊的桥梁与纽带。

这本书在为迎接奥运嘉宾提供 帮助的同时,也将对北京市中文菜单使用统一规范的英文译 法起到指导作用。

如:海鲜乌冬汤面 Japanese Noodle Soup with Seafood 八、 酒类的译法原则 进口酒类的英文名称仍使用其原英文译法,国产酒类以其注册的英文为准, 如酒类本身没有英文名称的则使用其中文名称的汉语拼音。
